Gritty Grit Grit is a Christian-based coaching and teaching platform that helps people develop grit—the passion and perseverance to keep going when life gets hard—rooted in Scripture, choice theory, and motivation science. It exists to give practical tools, not just inspiration, so everyday both nonbelievers and believers can make courageous choices, grow resilience, and live out an abundant and fullfilled life, not just in theory.
My approach combines years of chaplaincy and real-world crisis ministry with a Ph.D.-level understanding of education, motivation, and choice theory. That means you get coaching that is pastorally compassionate, research-informed, and relentlessly practical, always grounded in the Bible and focused on helping you make small, gritty decisions that add up to long-term change.
Gritty Grit Grit is for nonchristians and Christians who are tired of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or discouraged and are ready to take ownership of their choices and growth. It especially serves men and women juggling real-world pressures—work, family, faith, and calling—who want clear teaching, honest conversation, and practical steps they can start using today.
Gritty Grit Grit offers blog posts, YouTube teaching, and online masterclass-style courses that walk you step-by-step through topics like resilience, decision-making, spiritual grit, and motivation. In addition, I offer one-on-one life coaching for those who want personalized guidance, accountability, and a safe place to process their story and build a realistic plan forward.
You can start by subscribing to the blog or YouTube channel and going through some of the free content that resonates with your current season. When you’re ready for more focused help, you can enroll in a course or apply for one-on-one coaching, and we’ll walk together—step by gritty step—toward the life you’re called to live.
While I regularly use Scripture, this is not a traditional sermon or verse-by-verse Bible study. My content is more like a coaching classroom: biblical truth plus psychology, story, and strategy, all aimed at helping you change how you think, choose, and live—so your faith shows up in your habits, relationships, and responses under pressure.
Each course is designed to be practical, clear, and doable for real people with busy lives, not just theory-heavy lectures. You can expect short, focused lessons, reflection questions, and concrete tools you can immediately apply in your daily life, along with encouragement that is honest about struggle and hopeful about change.
Coaching (when it starts) happens online through video calls so we can meet wherever you are. We start with an initial session to understand your situation, clarify what “success” looks like for you, and then, if you choose, we can meet regularly to address roadblocks, strengthen your mindset, and establish simple, gritty action steps between sessions.
I focus on building spiritual and mental resilience through topics like grit, motivation, decision-making, identity, and healthy thinking patterns. You’ll see recurring themes such as how to suffer well, how to choose your response when life hits hard, how to align your choices with your values, and how to keep going when you want to quit.
